The client AuctionsFind is an Ontario-based company that has been listing local traditional and online auctions since 1999. The company wants to expand to include all cities in the US and Canada but the current website does not support any regions besides Ontario and lacks features that competitors have.
Research the world of live and online auctions to understand users needs and balance those with the needs of the business.
Create a modern website that includes features helpful to users and serves all of Canada and the US.
Our first step on this project was to meet with Rossel, the owner of AuctionsFind.com, so we could learn about his business and the evolution of the existing website.
We conducted several user tests with the existing website. These tests were recorded using quicktime to capture the users screen and voice. We shared these videos with the client.
Since the original site had been online for over 10 years there was quite a bit of Google Analytics data available to us.
We also had the programmer install Inspectlet so we could record user sessions and generate heat maps.
